During the COVID Shutdown, like many other Non Profits and businesses, the American Marketer’s Association (AMA) Hawaii Chapter used the time to work on updating and decluttering their Chapter’s website.

Asked to help develop a series of minimalistic Hawaii inspired “Hero Images” for their website’s page headers; we began researching a number of Hawaiian words and symbols that represented the overall theme of each web page/section.

Inspired by Hawaiian Kapa prints, the images features basic geometric symbols/shapes, which were then laid out in linear patterns  reminiscent of those made by a traditional ohe kapala stamp.
